What is the Veteran’s Aid
and Attendance Pension Benefit?
I would like to first thank all the veterans for their service. I’d also like to thank their wives and their families for their support. I myself am a veteran of the U.S. Navy, an Elder Law Attorney and a Certified Attorney through there U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. I am certified to help veterans and their families take advantage of a little known benefit called there Veterans Aid and Attendance Pension Benefit.
This pension benefit is extremely beneficial for any wartime veteran or their surviving spouse and can provide up to $34,000 a year to help account for certain expenses. In order to qualify you have to meet certain qualifications, one of which is your dates of service and the length of your service.
- World War I (Apr. 6, 1917 – Nov. 11, 1918)
- World War II (Dec. 7, 1941 – Dec. 31, 1946)
- Korean War (Jun. 27, 1950 – Jan. 31, 1955)
- Vietnam War (Aug. 5, 1964 – May 7, 1975)
- Gulf War (Aug. 2, 1990 – through a future date set by Presidential Proclamation)
