Why McIntyre Elder Law

McIntyre Elder Law is a growing North Carolina law firm focused on helping families with estate planning, elder law, probate, trust administration, Medicaid planning, long-term-care planning, guardianship, and related litigation.

We are looking for attorneys who want more than a traditional associate role. We want attorneys who want to learn, produce, lead, serve clients well, and grow with the firm.

You will have the opportunity to:

Work with families during some of the most important and sensitive moments of their lives.
Build skill in estate planning, elder law, Medicaid planning, probate, trust administration, and litigation.
Receive structured training in our firm systems and processes.
Develop your own client caseload.
Work within a growing, entrepreneurial law firm.
Increase your income as your production grows.
Build a long-term career instead of simply taking another job.

What You Will Do

As an associate attorney with McIntyre Elder Law, your responsibilities may include:

Meeting with clients for consultations and strategy sessions.
Advising families on estate planning, elder law, probate, Medicaid planning, long-term-care planning, and related matters.
Drafting and reviewing estate planning documents.
Handling probate and trust administration matters.
Assisting with Medicaid and long-term-care planning cases.
Participating in litigation matters when appropriate.
Helping clients understand their options and make clear decisions.
Developing your own client caseload.
Contributing to the growth of your office and the firm as a whole.

Your First 90 Days

We do not expect you to know everything on day one.

Your first one to three months will include structured training within our firm systems and processes so you can transition into the role with clarity and support.

During your first 90 days, you will learn:

How we consult with clients.
How we evaluate estate planning, elder law, probate, and long-term-care issues.
How our documents, workflows, and client-service systems operate.
How our attorneys work with the intake, drafting, operations, and leadership teams.
How production and performance compensation are tracked.
How to build a caseload while maintaining strong client service and professional standards.

Who We Are Looking For

This role may be a strong fit if you are:

Licensed to practice law in North Carolina.
A strong communicator who enjoys working directly with clients.
Intelligent, professional, and growth-minded.
Interested in estate planning, elder law, probate, Medicaid planning, long-term-care planning, or litigation.
Comfortable learning systems and following proven processes.
Motivated by both meaningful client work and performance-based income growth.
Interested in building a long-term legal career with a growing firm.

Experience in estate planning, probate, elder law, Medicaid planning, litigation, courtroom practice, or client-facing legal work is valuable.

Bilingual ability is a plus.

We are willing to train the right attorney.

This Role Is Probably Not for You If

You want a quiet research-only position with little client contact.
You are uncomfortable with performance expectations.
You do not want to learn new systems or follow structured processes.
You are not interested in developing your own client caseload over time.
You do not want compensation tied in part to production and collected revenue.
You are not licensed, or soon to be licensed, in North Carolina.
