Our Attorneys

Greg McIntyre, JD, MBA
VA Certified & Elder Law Attorney

Greg McIntyre lives in Shelby, North Carolina (outside of Charlotte, NC) with his wife, Stefanie, and their 6 children. Greg initially became a lawyer to fight courtroom battles which he did for years. However, after working in an environment where the focus was always on the next billable hour, he started McIntyre Elder Law practice because he was interested in being more than just a lawyer. Greg was interested in making a difference in his clients’ lives.
Being a husband and a father taught Greg what was really important in life. Greg takes pride in building trust with his clients and feels they share the same values. Greg strives to help others leave a legacy to be preserved and to have a guiding hand in shaping their families’ lives.

Greg is a veteran of the United State’s Navy and a member of the North Carolina State Bar Association. He is a member of ElderCounsel, a national network focused specifically on estate planning & wealth preservation.

Brenton S. Begley, JD, LLM
Estate Planning & Elder Law Attorney

Brenton Begley graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with his BA in Political Science. He earned his Juris Doctorate from Elon University School of Law in Greensboro, North Carolina, where he also earned awards in trial advocacy. During his time in law school, Mr. Begley served as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Judge Denning at the Wake County Family Court. Mr. Begley also received an LLM in Taxation from the prominent Levin College of Law at the University of Florida. Attorney Begley’s background and experience in taxation allows him to assist clients in planning for the future in a comprehensive and effective manner.

Therron Causey, JD
Estate Planning & Elder Law Attorney

Therron Causey is a queen city native and spent his younger years as a student in the Charlotte Catholic school system. He received a B.S. in Business Administration from Catawba College and a J.D. from Elon University School of Law. Therron enlisted in the military after receiving his undergraduate degree and served in the United States Navy for over six years. He is both a husband and a father and lists family as the great foundation of his life. He seeks to serve the underserved within the community and to lead a meaningful life by connecting with those in need.

Nathan Forb, JD
Estate Planning & Elder Law Attorney

A native of West Virginia, Nathan Forb now resides in Matthews, North Carolina with his wife, Kelly, and two daughters. Nathan attended West Virginia University where he obtained his undergraduate and master’s degree. In 2014, Nathan obtained his J.D. from Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio. Prior to living and practicing law in North Carolina, Nathan owned a solo practice in Ohio.
Nathan is a firm believer that family and faith are life’s highest priorities. He is a dedicated husband and father who enjoys goofing off with his daughters as much as teaching and guiding them through life. Nathan and his wife are highly active in Charlotte’s Jewish community.

Nathan is a dual licensed attorney, holding licenses in North Carolina and Ohio. Nathan is a member of the North Carolina State Bar Association. He is also a member of the Ohio State Bar Association.

Jessica Bush
Probate Case Manager

McIntyre Elder Law is proud to introduce our Probate Case Manager, Jessica Bush. Jessica has a long work history in Logistics and Operations. Jessica joined our team in August 2018.

In her spare time, she loves to craft and spend time with her family. She resides in Cleveland County with her husband, Chris. Together they have 4 children, and 3 grandchildren.

Jessica Caskey
Probate Case Manager

Jessica (JC), has been with our firm since April 2021. She attended Gaston College, where she obtained her associates degree in applied sciences with a focus in paralegal technologies.

JC is a Lincolnton native and currently resides there with her four year old daughter. Spending time with her friends and family is her greatest joy.

Zach Futrell
Branch Office Administrator

McIntyre Elder Law would like to introduce our Branch Office Administrator, Zach Futrell. Zach facilitates the meeting with clients and the attorneys, oversees the daily operations of the Charlotte office.

Zach is an Appalachian State graduate and you will always catch him at a home game.

Taylor Shelton
Executive Assistant

Tiffany Blackburn
Litigation Paralegal

McIntyre Elder Law introduces Tiffany Blackburn our Probate Case Manager. She manages communications personnel and all incoming and outgoing communication.

Tiffany loves being a mother and enjoys spending time with her 10 year old daughter.

Mary Kales
Benefits Director

McIntyre Elder Law would like to introduce one of our Long Term Care Planning Benefits Case Workers, Mary Kales. Mary is responsible for preparing & filing medicaid applications for our clients

who are in need for special assistance or long term care medicaid. Mary also worked in our Communications Department, prior to her position as Benefits Case Worker. She has a background in Business and Healthcare and has a passion in caring for others. After residing in Monroe, NC for the last 15 years, she now calls Lincolnton her home.

Hayden Hutchins
Benefits Assistant

McIntyre Elder Law is proud to introduce our Benefits Assistant. Hayden is responsible for assisting our Benefits Director in preparing and filing medicaid applications for our clients. Hayden recently graduated from East Carolina University.

She received her B.A. in Psychology along with a double minor in human development and alcohol and drug studies. When not in the office, Hayden enjoys traveling, hiking, writing, seeing friends and family, and going to concerts. Hayden currently resides in Forest City after living in Greenville, NC for the preceding three years.

Angie Phillips
Accountant

I was born and raised in Ohio. I began working in accounting 20 years ago and found that I absolutely love it. After moving to North Carolina 13 years ago, I decided to continue my education.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Gardner Webb University. Outside of work my family loves to hike, play computer games, and I love to paint.

Stefanie McIntyre
Firm Ambassador

McIntyre Elder Law wants to introduce Stefanie McIntyre, Firm Ambassador. Stefanie assists with special events, including planning and manpower. She also assists

with civil cases, including drafting and filing. When Stefanie is not working part time, she enjoys being a stay at home mom to her six children. Stefanie has been married to Greg McIntyre for almost 19 years and has enjoyed working with the business from the ground up. Her hobbies include, cooking, gardening, and laundry.

Harlee Robinson
Estate Planning Assistant

We would like you to meet our Communications specialist, Harlee Robinson. Welcoming clients in our office, scheduling appointments, answering inbound and outbound calls from our office, and recording documents.

In her spare time, Harlee enjoys spending time with her family on the weekends. Harlee currently resides in Forest City, NC with her step-son, her husband, and her 2 fur babies.

Carrie Green
Estate Planning Paralegal

McIntyre Elder Law wants to introduce our Estate Planning Case Manager, Carrie Green. Carrie has a banking background and an education in Accounting and Human Resource

Management. Carrie has been with our firm since 2015 and works from her in-home office. She drafts estate planning and deeds but also assist where needed in benefits. Carrie is from Clover, SC and currently resides with her husband and son in Sharon, SC.

Hunter Hutchins
Communication Specialist

McIntyre Elder Law wants to introduce our Communications Specialist, Hunter Hutchins. Hunter is responsible for recording legal documents, answering inbound phone calls for our offices, and scheduling appointments for our attorneys.

In her spare time, Hunter enjoys being with her family and friends. Hunter currently lives in Forest City, North Carolina and will be attending Appalachian State University to study Communication Sciences and Disorders.

Brooke Orr
Communication Specialist

McIntyre Elder Law wants to introduce our Communications Specialist, Brooke Orr. Brooke is responsible for welcoming clients in our office, answering inbound calls for the firm and directing them accordingly, recording legal documents, and scheduling appointments for the attorneys.

Brooke has a BS in Criminal Justice from Lees McRae College and has worked in the legal field for several years. She currently lives in Lincolnton with her husband and two kids. When not in the office Brooke enjoys shopping, and actively participating at New Dimensions Charter School where her daughter attends.

Kim Pheffer
Communications Specialist

Kim Pheffer is a Hendersonville native and attended the University of North Carolina-Greensboro. She is a graduate of the North Carolina Institute of Political Leadership and an alumna of Phi Mu Fraternity.

She comes to us with a background in management and enjoys her client-facing duties. In addition, she serves on the board of Big Brother/Big Sisters and is our firm’s Chamber of Commerce Ambassador. In her free time, Kim enjoys hanging out with her son, watching history documentaries, and genealogy. She has too many shoes.

Sarah Fischer
Outbound Communication Specialist

Sarah Fischer is the Outbound Communications Specialist for McIntyre Elder Law. Her heart for service is what brought her to us.

She is a proud committee member for Blue Ridge Valley Local Miss America Pageants, a sitting board member 2005 to 2009 for The Healing Place, volunteer for Mainstay 2006 to 2008, Pioneered Let’s Be Friends 2002 to 2008 a program that partnered with local Mental Health providers and adult group homes that assisted and advocated for young adults to transition from children’s services to adult services and eventually to self independent living. Volunteering is a priority and she hopes to be part of the Four Seasons Rotary this year. Sarah has years of call center expierence and looks forward to reaching people every day to set them on the right path towards peace of mind and saving the farm. She enjoys hiking, gardening, cooking, time with her family, and serving her community.

Cheyenne Wright
Estate Planning Paralegal

McIntyre Elder Law would like to introduce Cheyenne Wright with our Estate Planning team. Cheyenne has degrees in Early Childhood Education and Legal Studies. She came to our firm with years of experience as a Paralegal in Social Security and Disability Benefits.

Outside of the office Cheyenne enjoys her time as the ringleader of four spunky children, husband, and many household animals. When she finds spare time, Cheyenne enjoys True Crime podcasts, reading Murder Mystery Novels, and baking cupcakes.
