Our Attorneys

Greg McIntyre, JD, MBA
VA Certified & Elder Law Attorney

Greg McIntyre lives in Shelby, North Carolina (outside of Charlotte, NC) with his wife, Stefanie, and their 6 children. Greg initially became a lawyer to fight courtroom battles which he did for years. However, after working in an environment where the focus was always on the next billable hour, he started McIntyre Elder Law practice because he was interested in being more than just a lawyer. Greg was interested in making a difference in his clients’ lives.
Being a husband and a father taught Greg what was really important in life. Greg takes pride in building trust with his clients and feels they share the same values. Greg strives to help others leave a legacy to be preserved and to have a guiding hand in shaping their families’ lives.

Greg is a veteran of the United State’s Navy and a member of the North Carolina State Bar Association. He is a member of ElderCounsel, a national network focused specifically on estate planning & wealth preservation.

Brenton S. Begley, JD, LLM
Estate Planning & Elder Law Attorney

Brenton Begley graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with his BA in Political Science. He earned his Juris Doctorate from Elon University School of Law in Greensboro, North Carolina, where he also earned awards in trial advocacy. During his time in law school, Mr. Begley served as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Judge Denning at the Wake County Family Court. Mr. Begley also received an LLM in Taxation from the prominent Levin College of Law at the University of Florida. Attorney Begley’s background and experience in taxation allows him to assist clients in planning for the future in a comprehensive and effective manner.

Therron Causey, JD
Estate Planning & Elder Law Attorney

Therron Causey is a queen city native and spent his younger years as a student in the Charlotte Catholic school system. He received a B.S. in Business Administration from Catawba College and a J.D. from Elon University School of Law. Therron enlisted in the military after receiving his undergraduate degree and served in the United States Navy for over six years. He is both a husband and a father and lists family as the great foundation of his life. He seeks to serve the underserved within the community and to lead a meaningful life by connecting with those in need.

Eric Baker, JD, MBA

Originally from High Point, North Carolina where he graduated from High Point Christian Academy, Eric Baker received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Roanoke College in Salem, VA. He earned both his Juris Doctorate and Master of Business Administration degrees from Elon University. Eric is a dedicated and passionate attorney who strives to protect the assets and legacies of his clients. In his spare time, Eric enjoys volunteering in the community, kayaking and hiking.

Jessica Bush
Probate Director

McIntyre Elder Law is proud to introduce our Probate Director, Jessica Bush. Jessica has a long work history in Logistics and Operations. Jessica joined our team in August 2018.

In her spare time, she loves to craft and spend time with her family. She resides in Cleveland County with her husband, Chris. Together they have 4 children, and 3 grandchildren.

Jessica Caskey
Probate Case Manager

Jessica (JC), has been with our firm since April 2021. She attended Gaston College, where she obtained her associates degree in applied sciences with a focus in paralegal technologies.

JC is a Lincolnton native and currently resides there with her four year old daughter. Spending time with her friends and family is her greatest joy.

Taylor Shelton
Accountant

McIntyre Elder Law would like to introduce our Marketing Director, Taylor Shelton. Taylor has been with the firm for over 5 years and started as a Communication Specialist back in 2017. Taylor lives in

Lincolnton, NC with her daughter, Olivia.Taylor oversees the Marketing department and collaborates with the attorneys to expand business development and marketing effort! She also coordinates event planning and raises awareness to promote attendance.

Tiffany Blackburn
Litigation Paralegal

McIntyre Elder Law introduces Tiffany Blackburn our Probate Case Manager. She manages communications personnel and all incoming and outgoing communication.Tiffany loves being a

mother and enjoys spending time with her 10 year old daughter.

Mary Kales
Benefits Director

McIntyre Elder Law would like to introduce one of our Long Term Care Planning Benefits Director, Mary Kales. Mary is responsible for preparing & filing medicaid applications for our clients

who are in need for special assistance or long term care medicaid. Mary also worked in our Communications Department, prior to her position as Benefits Case Worker. She has a background in Business and Healthcare and has a passion in caring for others. After residing in Monroe, NC for the last 15 years, she now calls Lincolnton her home.

Angie Phillips
Accountant

I was born and raised in Ohio. I began working in accounting 20 years ago and found that I absolutely love it. After moving to North Carolina 13 years ago, I decided to continue my education.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Gardner Webb University. Outside of work my family loves to hike, play computer games, and I love to paint.

Stefanie McIntyre
Firm Ambassador

McIntyre Elder Law wants to introduce Stefanie McIntyre, Firm Ambassador. Stefanie assists with special events, including planning and manpower. She also assists

with civil cases, including drafting and filing. When Stefanie is not working part time, she enjoys being a stay at home mom to her six children. Stefanie has been married to Greg McIntyre for almost 19 years and has enjoyed working with the business from the ground up. Her hobbies include, cooking, gardening, and laundry.

Carrie Green
Estate Planning Paralegal

McIntyre Elder Law wants to introduce our Estate Planning Case Manager, Carrie Green. Carrie has a banking background and an education in Accounting and Human Resource

Management. Carrie has been with our firm since 2015 and works from her in-home office. She drafts estate planning and deeds but also assist where needed in benefits. Carrie is from Clover, SC and currently resides with her husband and son in Sharon, SC.

Hunter Hutchins
Communications Director

McIntyre Elder Law wants to introduce our Communications Director, Hunter Hutchins. Hunter is responsible for answering inbound phone calls for all our offices, making outbound phone calls

and managing the calendars for each of our attorneys. In her spare time, Hunter enjoys hiking, and being with her family and friends. Hunter currently lives in Forest City, North Carolina.

Kim Pheffer
Communications Specialist

Kim Pheffer is a Hendersonville native and attended the University of North Carolina-Greensboro. She is a graduate of the North Carolina Institute of Political Leadership and an alumna of Phi Mu Fraternity.

She comes to us with a background in management and enjoys her client-facing duties. In addition, she serves on the board of Big Brother/Big Sisters and is our firm’s Chamber of Commerce Ambassador. In her free time, Kim enjoys hanging out with her son, watching history documentaries, and genealogy. She has too many shoes.

Kenneh Dimetros
Probate Case Manager

McIntyre Elder Law wants to introduce our Probate Case Manager, Kenneh Dimetros. Keeneh Dimetros Graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a bachelor’s degree in political science

and a minor in International Relations.
Originally from Kings Mountain, Keeneh is a native to the Charlotte area. He is a Probate Case manager and has been with the team since March 2022. Keeneh is excited to begin his career with McIntyre Elder Law and provide an invaluable service to our clients.

Bria Jefferies
Outbound Scheduler

McIntyre Elder Law would like to introduce Outbound Scheduler Bria Jefferies. Bria was born and raised in Yonkers NY and relocated to the beautiful Queen City in 2021. Bria attended Southern CT State

University where she earned her BA in Organizational Communications. She was also a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. In her spare time, Bria enjoys traveling and exploring new places with her daughter Kelis, husband and family.

Jessica Kramer
Probate Case Manager

McIntyre Elder Law is proud to introduce our Probate Case Manager, Jessica Kramer. She attended The University of North Carolina at Greensboro where she obtained her Bachelor’s in Social Work with a minor in Family Studies.Jessica is currently residing

in Mooresville, North Carolina. When she is not working, you can find her at home with her family and two dogs.
