At McIntyre Elder Law, we believe in building the next generation of leaders in law, business, and community service. That’s why we created McIntyre Elder Law University (MELU) — an immersive internship program designed for undergraduate students, law students, and aspiring professionals interested in estate planning, elder law, probate, long-term care planning, veterans’ benefits, marketing, and events management.

Program Highlights

Rotations

  • Estate Planning:
    • Client interaction
    • Document drafting
    • Signing procedure
  • Probate & Estate Administration: 
    • Case management 
    • Filing and procedural knowledge
  • Benefits and Planning
    • Exposure to Medicaid, VA, and other benefits processes
  • Litigation:
    • Assist with case prep 
    • Legal research

What to Expect on Day 1

You’ll meet the team, receive your rotation schedule, and get onboarding training for the software and tools we use. Dress in business casual attire and plan to arrive early. Uptown traffic can be crazy!
