Recently, I took my family to New York City, the Big Apple, the city that never sleeps, as sort of a celebratory rite of passage for my oldest son’s 16th birthday. As I sat on the plane preparing for takeoff, for what seemed like an eternity, I had that feeling in the pit of my stomach… You know, a little anxious, a little scared, but mostly excited. “What if something happens?” I thought as my wife and 16 year-old sat beside me.
